Well one a prelude is not fast, would barely consider performance oriented, and I wouldn't ever consider one spoiled for owning one, and or driving one. This is a dumb car for a teenager, these cars being 20 years old have something going bad at all times. Maintaince needs to be meticulous, which is expensive to teens so that leads to neglect. ALSO, the 525 is a slug, that should probably be a sticky sense everyone doesnt realize that's the smallest engine offered to the US in this car. The car probably won't feel good until 4k the 525 I drove had a top end and thats it. You should be used to that. coming from a Honda.
Now for your check list. Figure out what has recently been done. A full tune up of everything would be something like this(It's for everything needing to be regularly replaced, I'm sure I missed stuff);
Brake fluid, pads, rotors
Fuel, air, and oil filters
Spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor
Belts, pullys possibly
Trans fluid, if automatic, filter too. Diff fluid
AND OFCOURSE THE COOLING SYSTEM
Coolant, thermostat, waterpump, hoses.
Welcome to the fest.
