2 reason's I dumped my D..
The drive around town was rough.
The noise at idle and when taking off really started to bug me, I felt my Mercedes Sprinter 3/4 ton van. Was quieter then the 35D.
I will say I loved the drive on the freeway and never really noticed a lot of tire noise.
