When you install the HID bulbs, you'll notice that when the bulb goes in, the return wire is facing up (THAT IS WRONG).
When you put the bulb in with the return wire facing down, the bulb won't sit flush therefore you have to notch it. Attach is a pic, the red shows where the part that needs to be cut, use a dremel or some strong wire cutters will do.
