Actually there are some great deals in CA for 24 month leases on 5 series. Check out the ask a dealer section. The thread is call something like super deal or dea of the year...

I think the residual is like 71%.

BTW to your question. I did it once and the difference at that time was about 2% more in my monthly payment. Well worth it IMO
