So far after storing both of my keys completely away from the car I have not seen the battery message this weekend. The real test will be during the week when I don't drive the car until the following weekend.

I think somehow when the keys are within range it prevents the car to go to sleep. These keys also have a abnormally long range and i could lock/unlock the car nearly a block away. We'll see if this is true next weekend.
