Smile ESSO vs. Valvoline vs. Mobil One tranny fluids

BMW2QNJ2LE - 1) I am new. My bimmer is 2001 740i with 93000 mi. The manual indicates that the tranny fluid is life time. What is the definition of lifetime? 80K, 150K or 200K or 300K. Nothing is forever. Mine is a nice 2nd owner car. I thought of changing the tranny fluid for long lasting transmission. (on the side note: My 2000 Camry lasts 250K without tranny problem with fluid change every 50k mi. I recently change the oil & tranny seals).
2) First reverse in the morning, my Bimmer jerks noticeably. Forward shifts are smooth. Reverse when hot does not jerk. Is there anything that needs to do to fix this jerking? Low tranny fluid? or something else. Few days ago, in the morning, my bimmer displays "TRANS. FAILSAVE PROG." on the display cluster. It lost acceleration in the ist gear. in the afternoon, it is back to normal. Any concerns at this point?
3) For history records, I would like to ask M. Wong (change @ 75K and ...), h711k (change @ 128K ...), balance (@140K...), xxbimmerboyxx and others: since your postings were dated back in 2008/2009 time and today is Dec 2012. You all must at least put 30,000 to 80,000 mi on your transmission fluid. If you would like to share your real life experiences that would help me and other bimmer lovers out there to understand more the pros and cons of changing our bimmer tranny fluid! ESSO vs. Valvoline vs. Mobil One tranny fluids. Your experience sharing is greatly appreciated and it will be a document for future reference in the Bimmerfest. Thanks. BMW2QNJ2LE.
