That's not my understanding with BMWFS. The last transfer I did was earlier this year. All the onus moves to the assumptee. What ChrisF02 mentioned is correct for some other companies. Here is what swapalease lists for BMWFS - "Does Original Lessee Remain Liable? No" - http://www.swapalease.com/help/lease...spx?leaseco=55.

Nissan is a company where you remain liable - http://www.swapalease.com/help/lease...spx?leaseco=46

I think that is what ChrisF02 is referring to.
