Appreciate your input but no need to be a dick about it since that's not how it works in my state (and probably many others). In fact, some intersections are marked to direct the outside turning vehicle to the far right lane. These tend to be turn on green arrow only intersections.

A corresponding pet peeve would be the driver in the inside lane swinging out as if he's the only turn lane. As a general rule, I view the center lane as a buffer lane unless marked otherwise.
