A guy did that to me today - probably would have hit my door or rear quarter panel if I wasn't anticipating it. What's worse are the people that pull up in the left most left turn lane, and then immediately want to merge right and turn right at the next intersection, even when they were the first car alone at the intersection. That goes into my hating people that don't think ahead while driving.
