Here is an example of 5k vs 6k bulbs. This Saab has 5000k HIDs for headlight and 6000k for fogs. I was worried the 5k may be too blue; however, from THAT pic I think I may be ok the color.

I actually have a 55watt DDM kit on my DD (2004 Saab). It's on as daytime running lights the whole time my car is on (thanks to GM

). I say this because after all those hours (probably over 300 hours) they still work great after 5 years.

I was debating if I should get the 4500k kit, 5000k kit or the more expensive, less bright but perfectly matched Cree LED bulbs:
