Not sure. I have natural gas to my BBQ area out back but I specifically wanted propane as a 'back up' mitigation plan should we find ourselves 'off the grid' from energy sources (electricity, natural gas). I have about 10 propane tanks (5 full) plus 11 gallon propane tank on the RV.

We live in a volatile area of volcanoes and earthquakes (and I went through Mt.St. Helens eruption) so having a contingency plan for living off the grid it a must. Well, that is, if you don't want to have to depend on government to save your azz.

We also have a lot of elk and deer in our backyard...they would taste good smoked if I had to...
