I've recently checked the 3 main used car sources (edmunds.com, kbb.com, nada.com) for pricing on my 2011 modestly equipped, non-sport 535i, 25K miles, and the private sale prices range from $40-$42K, dealer retail closer to $44K. I don't have dynamic suspension or packages such as driver assistance, etc.
The 2011 came with the M Sport package option, I know because I was between the M Sport and the regular Sport. I obviously found out later that I made a stupid decision by not choosing the M-Sport. This is my only regret.
