There is NO vaccine for shingles. Once you have it there is a 10 day med (I cannot recall what i took) & it went away in two weeks...so I had them 1 1/2 months.
Get the meds & take them. You will be glad you did.

There is a vaccine for shingles indicated for those >60yrs old (see http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vpd-vac/...-need-know.htm). It's ~ 51% effective.
