As the broken rear spring problem seems to affect all X3 model years, and other BMW models too, it is good that those possibly stronger Swedish Lesjofors are an option to O.E.
Was wondering if there is a best practice method of replacing them and came across a 3-series video that shows a way to avoid the crowbar method members here have used.
Makes use of the car's scissors jack to create space between the upper and lower mounts so the spring can easily be slid out and replaced.
Not sure if the X3 has the same areas where you could locate the jack base and the cradle, but looks less nerve-wracking than levering a spring out. Any thoughts?
