You really shouldn't get all of it out of the torque converter, although when I pulled the mechatronics out and had everything apart for a few hours to drain, I ended up putting something like 8 quarts in. It's got to be a large part of it though, if you wait long enough

Make sure to buy enough fluid if you're going that route! I BARELY had enough when I did mine last time.
