Qsilver7 you called it " If the alternator is not putting out enough voltage to recharge the battery, it will eventually kill your battery and leave you stranded on the side of the road" this morning I was on my way to repair shop and I was 1 mile short stranded on the read. And yes alternator $900 repair now.
