I'd be sorely tempted if I happened upon a nice MB W115 chassis 300d (1975-76) with a stick shift. That model was a much better handler than the W123, IMO.
Probably will get the wife a w124 touring. I've seen 2 for sale in my area.
One is a Clean older adult owned white with grey rockers/ tan
IIRC it's a diesel. Has a window regulator issue with the right rear window.
The other 2nd owner, black on black and petrol.
It has some cosmetic issues and high mileage. But the engine and trans is in good condition (I checked it out)
Then again I may buy a e34 touring and call it the day.
