The Goo Solution?
Perhaps this is the wrong thred for this question, and if it is, I apologize.
We take delivery today of a new f30, 335i with the RFTs. I really want to swap them out for Pilot Sports but I am reluctant to give up trunk space.
In the 50 years I've been driving, I've never had a flat on the road. (Jeez, now I've done it!). Rather than a spare, can I simply use a can of the gooy tire sealant and pump up up the tire with a 12v compressor if I have a flat? I recognize that I would have to purchase a new tire as I believe the goo would prevent the tire from ever being balanced properly?
So, is the can of goo and a comrressor a viable alternative to carrying a spare? Appreciate any responses.
