Have you considered that the FSR/FSU might be the issue? Its a very common malady with the e53/e39...do a quick simple search (either here or google) for BMW FSR/FSU to see if this is the symptoms & issues you're having.


BTW...FSR/FSU stands for final stage resistor/final stage unit
