Steering vibration on breakingx5 e53

BMW authorised service is like that. If they know it is their fault, they are trained by BMW to be honest with the customer and repair free of charge. I think they may have aligned the discs and pads incorrectly, and when this happens, the uneven contact between pad and disc will send vibration through the steering column. I remember it happening to me when an apprentice was assigned the job of replacing my front discs and pads. It was grinding and vibrating after high speed braking. They asked me to bring the car in and in a day it was all fixed. Had the brakes for 3 years braking superbly.
