Excellent write-up, thanks - full of useful info. Not sure about BMW's new engine naming strategy - I heard N62B30 would be the official nomenclature for the new petrol engine.
I am glad to hear BMW stuck with Valvetronic, and improved its efficiency at the top end. Hopefully this will mean I can - finally - afford to fuel a six-cylinder BMW!
