I'm going to assume you have the aluminum running boards that have the black "dots" on them to prevent slipping...well BMW calls them "Naps"...and they actually have an 11 digit BMW part nbr which means you can purchase them from your local BMW dealership...or a BMW dealership that sells online...or you can search the internet using the 11 digit BMW part nbr for aftermarket vendors that may sell them.
Here's the info you need to get started. BMW "naps" part nbr: 51717053464 (type "BMW 51717053464" into a google or internet search box)
They are #10 in the diagram below and link below to the diagram & part nbr index:
Hint: encircled nbrs in the parts diagram indicate "hardware"...which usually (as in this case) has an index drawn within the illustration
Thanks for this!. i thought it was a bit strange when searching for these that i couldnt see any even on ebay.. have just found some for £1.20 each using the part number.
Most times...when you shop using the BMW 11 digit part nbr...you can find the item. And it helps because you know for the most part that it's the correct part for your car if you've used the part database (and your VIN) to find the correct part nbr for your build date/model year etc. This really helps when there's a change within the production run and BMW uses a different part nbr "from" or "to" a specific build date. When you shop "generically"...you may find yourself purchasing the wrong part due to this minor difference.
And in this case...who would think that the name for them is "naps"? Mostly no one...thus finding them can be difficult...but using their BMW part nbr changes the whole dynamic.
