According to the latest reports, it appears that Bmw overtook Toyota as the world's most valuable automotive brand. The same BrandZ Top 100 indicate, that Ford and Volkswagen improved their brand value.

Peter Walshe, Millward Brown global brand director or the company which made the market research, said that he believes Toyota will bounce back after the recall crysys will end. "It is likely that Toyota's brand has suffered further in recent months, but it is a strong brand and is trying hard to overcome the damage through a major communications campaign," Walshe said in a telephone interview. "All of our evidence shows that strong brands are much more likely to recover from a crisis." Bmw brand value declined by 9 percent compared to 2009 to $21.8 billion while Toyota dropped 27 percent to under $21.8 billion.
