I don't want to get a roof-mount, as it ruins the asthetics and kills aerodynamics on a daily basis, so I'm looking for something easy to remove. I'm wondering if anyone tried any of the following:
I tried the SuperJoe and it scratched the top of the trunklid in two places. Wasn't able to polish it all out. I tried two bikes and it moved around a lot. Possible user error, but I wouldn't recommend it.
I've used the Saris Bones on a 2000 323 and I'm using it currently on a 2006 325. Any trunk rack (including the Saris) will scratch the paint if you let the attachement hooks touch the paint. I use some cut up 100% cotton towels and place them between the car and the hooks from the rack. Sometimes the spot where the towels rub against the paint will result in a dull spot in the paint but it rubs out with wax. The Saris is the best trunk rack out there. Very stable and easy to put on once you get it set up properly.

Don't do it. You will regret what it does to the paint.
