Hello there! I have just bought an e30 (my first BMW!!) I checked all the fluids took it for a drive and it ran great and everything checked out. But the other day on my drive I took off the coolant filler cap to put some more in and loads of coolant started running out from underneath the engine. The leak has slowed now but I cannot find where it is coming from, all the hoses look and feel good as do the clamps and the leak is coming from somewhere between the engine and the fan. I managed to get my iphone in to take a video, can anyone think where this is coming from, do I need a new water pump and gasket? Any advice would be great as I would like this car to be back on the road before the snow starts ideally...
Cheers for the advice guys and thanks Tim96 and Hornhospital for getting my video up! I guess this will be an expensive trip to the mechanic as all I have is a load of screwdrives an adjustable wrench and a pair of dogs..
My expansion tank on my E46 spang a leak and it was gushing alot when the engine was on and hot, slowed when engine was cold and when pressure was low.
