question (my freinds' car)

How do I relace rear LED Indicator light BULB or Panel ? (2009 LCI E90 Model)

Thanks

1. Open trunk.
2. Pry/pop out trunk lining access panel behind light cluster.
3. Remove nuts (8mm IIRC).
4. Remove & disconnect cluster.

I think the LED array is integral to the panel. The incandescent lamps are obviously replaceable but if one or more LEDs have quit, I seem to recall reading you need to replace the whole socket panel.

nope not replaceable, I just went thru the same thing with my 07 335I, the whole unit has to be replaced, once I replaced it I mangled the old unit to see if it is, and its not, I cut it apart with a cut off wheel just to see what it looked like on the inside, its got a circuit panel board inside too, thats probably what died. I have also noticed that the other lamps, only one seems to be replaceable the rest I could not pull them free of the board to use as spares.
