F25 with non-TPMS sensors

Any experience with the non-TPMS option that uses ABS to "check out" the tire pressure. Some reviews show that TPM will display alerts too late which would result with a damage on tire and rims. TPMS is mandatory in the U.S. but not in Canada or EU.

BMWs wheel mounted Tire Pressure Monitor System will isolate a single wheel/tire when inflation pressure for that specific one is below the threshold as set in iDrive. I understand that additional coding is available (search the forum) that will permit actual inflation pressure and tire temperature to be reported on iDrive.

Search is your friend - almost as friendly as your owner's manual!!:dunno:

Regarding the display of the pressure in individual tires, note that this may only be possible in the US, where Direct TPMS is used. In the rest of the world, where Indirect TPMS (measuring variations in wheel rotational speed) is used, this wouldn't be possible. Direct TPMS has pressure sensors in each wheel, while Indirect TPMS does not.
