I just replaced the uper and lower control arms on the Black-Mobile.

On local bumpy roads, two thirds of the clunking is gone ))) On the highway last night, smooth exceleration from 0 to 50, took her slowly to sixty... NICE... At 70 mph I hit the brakes and she was nice a smooth all the way back down to 40 mph.

Job well done :):)

Next are the tie rods for the stabilizer in the front and strut mounts. I have the new strut mounts, I am just waiting fo the springs to come in. No sense in taking apart the strut assy twice LOL...

Was it hard?
What tools did you use, picklefork?
Important details?

Sorry for all the questions, about to tackle mine.
uppers arent bad. lowers need to be done with removing uppers. i used a ball joint separator on mine and it popped right out

Drove it onto ramps, put some ballast in there and torqued it down.

Hey Guys,

I did my control arms a while back and to remove the ball joints from the bottom strut plate I just took everything off as one piece, put the bottom strut plate in a vice and banged the crap out of the old parts with a hammer to free them.

Worked fine for me!

While a special puller would be nice it's not really necessary IMO.
