I know it's not alot compared to some of the other members but my baby finally reached 200,000mi today! I've put 74k mi in 3 years and still love her as much as when I first got her.
This is my first BMW after years of wanting one and I plan on keeping it untill it rusts into nothing. For those of you who have over 200k mi, have you only done basic maintenance or have you done a engine rebuild?
I'm at 198k now but seem to have been stuck there for a while. Car doesn't get driven much in the winter except that I broke my DD. Damn cars get jealous of each other.
My 92 that's at 279k is on the original motor and trans, nothing rebuilt. First owner (To like 260k or something) DD it and got it served regularly at a BMW shop his son worked at. Shows you how long a BMW will last if serviced and treated with care.
I'm at 232,000, 1995 318ti, with the original clutch. Still in good shape and I've never used synthetic oils. I really love my M42.
