My dream is coming true -- I am buying an 06' M3!
There are a few times in ones life when he feels so much joy. I finally took the plunge and will be a BMW M3 owner in Sept. I have always had my eye out on the M3 and decided that if I wanted one that I should hurry up before the 2007's come out.
So today my wife and I went to the local dealership here in Ramstein Germany and got all the details on the one we wanted to order. BTW- Its a military based dealership that is only legally able to sell to Americans so the prices are in USD. They gave us the follow deal with 10% off MSRP except options. $42,800 -- 2006 Model M3 Coupe (Brand new) $700 -- Xenon headlights $675 -- Harmon Kardon Audio $500 -- Heated front seats $475 -- Silver Gray $275 -- Local Delivery NC -- Titan Shadow Trim NC -- Black Nappa Leather NC -- 6 spd Manual NC -- Standard European 24 month warranty ================================= $44,987.00 What is really remarkable is that I dont pay any tax whatsoever because I work for the american government overseas. All this is really to my benefit because if it cost any more then it would most likely be out of my dollar range and I would have to stick with my Nissan 350Z. I am so happy to be finally joining you guys and driving a real sports car. How does my above deal look to you and should i consider revising it? Cheers mate. |

I'm not sure how much the gas coupons are now in Germany but they are a lot cheaper then the gas at the pump in Europe...
Have fun with your new machine and shoot some pictures when you get her...

Congrats on the new ride!!! I wish I took advantage of the government/military car sales program when I was over there. Just the break on taxes alone is worth it. Great choice and post some pics when you get it!!!

Here in Illinois you pay taxes based on the ORIGINAL sticker regardless of how long it has been since you purchased the car. Other states I researched only charge you based on a used car and its current market value.

Depending at the state he brings it back to it may cost him sales and import tax at the current value at entry . Never the less its still a few thousand $$$ cheaper to bring back. Just be ready to fork out some money for taxes... Example Orange Co California 40k @ 7.75% = 3100 + Import tax 600 = 3700 would be asked at the time of registration. Now Drive safe and dont kill yourself on the Autobahn! Last edited by firedwg1; 08-23-2005 at 02:44 PM. |
