Just returned from ED of my 335i Coupe. What a wonderful experience. I know from reading other’s posts that the process is great, but you really can’t appreciate it until you experience it for yourself. Thanks to everyone on this forum for help especially Beewang for the use of his European Nav Disk. Just not having to worry about where you’re heading or last minute change of plans made it very worthwhile. Weather was absolutely perfect with clear skies and temps in low 60’s. I was concerned about dicey weather in late November, but was pleasantly surprised.

Now for the details:

Day 1: British Airways from Phoenix to Heathrow. Flight time was 9.5 hours with....

Picked up my 550i on October 6 with my wife and 15 year old daughter and returned it to Munich on October 18. Car was even better than I expected...although my expectations were very high! Expect re-delivery in another 10 days.

We spent four days in Bavaria, two in Salzburg, three in Lucerne, two days in Lindau, and two days in Montbaur. Pictures show car at pick up center (after spending night on plane), Grossglockner road, view from Eagles nest, Salzburg and Lucerne.

Our journey took us from Miami to Atlanta to Munich arriving on Saturday morning where Peter was waiting with his X3 Diesel to take us to the Marriot Center. The same day we went to Dachau (a must place to visit), Saturday night at the Hofbrauhaus. On Sunday we took the Gray Line tour to Neuschwanstein Castle, Sunday night at the HB again. Monday morning early pick up of our White/Black/Aluminum, Steptronic,Nav,Sport Package and thanks to Beewang we were able to drive to Berchtesgaden where we took a tour of the Eagle's Nest and the Bunkers, the same day we drove to Salzburg, stayed at the Renaissence Hotel for a night, then to Viena arriving at the Intercontinental Hotel for two nights, back to Munich on Thursday and drop off on Friday mornig. From Munich to Rome for 4 nights and back to Miami on Tuesday. Great trip. Can't wait for the M3 to do it all over again.

I can't thank enough this forum and I would be more thank happy to help anyone who wants to get more information about ED.

My wife and I took delivery of a 2007 530i at Munich couple of years ago and it was one of the greatest experience we ever had! we were back last October and visited the new ED center... and we cannt wait next year to get back and take delivery of our new BMW! by the way... we always get great deal on air tickets, hotels and vacation packages at www.diydiscounttravel.com
