I really can't believe it. Yeah, I understand perhaps the V-TEC engine from the S2000 (I think that's the one its from, isn't is? Not a Honda guy at all) makes more powere than the stock 4 banger, but if you're gonna swap, why not just go with the M50 or 52?!

My friends S2000 and my 325is run pretty close--I don't see why you would waste time/money in the swap.

idk about all this now...
at least he did a good job with it, it obviously seems to run pretty darn well. not that id ever consider it or consider recomending it this swap to anyone ever... but this guy seems to know what he is doing. Quote:

Because in Japan, they have crazy taxes on any engine over 2.0L Therefore this was his bang for the buck. Also it was a fun project for him I guess. I'm not really a fan of any kind of motorswap. If I want a faster car I just buy one.

I'm amazed you've never seen this video before. It's only been around for something like 5 years. And been posted here on several occasions.
Nothing wrong at all with the S2000 engine, it's a pretty badass little motor. And amancuso is right, CRAZY taxes on bigger engines, that's why. Plus, it's cheaper to get a Honda engine in Japan than a German one. Imagine that. I can't imagine that the S2000 and the 325is are really that close. One car is lighter, with a more powerful engine. The other is a BMW.
