My first view of an undisguised F01 today

I live near Munich and Chris Bangle lives in my town.

I drove by his house today and guess what I saw...

Unfortunately the car was parked so close to the garage I could not take a decent photo with a rear sight.

looks good imho

The kidneys look rather large for the car.

err .. is it just me, or the grill is poping out and huge ....
im not so impressed with these pics, thoguth it might grow on me with these close up real pics

The car looks goofy as if it came straight out of Pixar production.

The kidney's are just too tall.

hate em..... i like the previous model better. This one just isnt doing it for me. maybe it will grow on me, but like it was said earlier, it shouldnt have to. The S class still owns this segment.

I'd have to agree. Current S Class looks better.

The new 7 looks nice but too much like a Lexus.

I would have rang the doorbell and ran.

I love how the car is completely undisguised, yet the badges are all covered with black tape.

"Omigod...is that the new 7 series??!!"

the front looks like a maserati, and the back like a lexus. looks great, nice pics

I like everything about it except the front grill sucks balls. The front grill looks like something from the 70's.

it still does not have the side-mirror/turning light...that is kind of standard in the same class of vehicle.

BMW's have turning lights on the side of the car, it doesnt need one in the side mirror... those usually just look bad anyway.

So some things we like, some we don't. At least I haven't heard it called a bangle disaster yet.

I guess I think its pretty all except those chrome side markers. I think even the Ford fusion has copied those now.

I think it's the sexiest Bimmer yet, even if it does have some similar features as other high end cars. The side turn signals are just fine the way they are, They have put enough lights on the interior.

Absolutely gorgeous car. Very cool. I like the size of the new kidney grilles a lot. The proportions are much better.

I got a close look in the latest Automobile Magazine.
I don't like it. Well, that's too strong. Rather, I'll say that it doesn't look as good as the current model. The Bangle stuff looked great to me right off the bat. Pre-Bangle Bimmers were too plain for the cost imo. The Bangle stuff made them fit more comfortable next to other higher end cars. The new one looks more understated. That doesn't make it bad but it's not nearly as stylish. If people wanted to disappear in their car they should drive a Honda or Toyota.
