Rear turn signal not working
Hello BMW experts
I need some help on fixing my 2002 X5 . The rear right turn signal on passenger side is not working. And the turn signal indicator is flashing rapidly . Initially I thought it could be a bulb burn our problem . So I replaced the bulb but that did not fixed the problem. Same Bulb work on the other side turn signal . I also swapped the bulb socket but that did not helped either . Is there a separate fuse for each turn signal ? If so where can I find ? What else could be wrong ? Sincerely appreciate any help. Do a search or read the wiki. This is a common problem on the E53 (X5) and the E46. The metal contact on the cluster is burnt and needs to be cleaned with steel wool and "tinned" with a soldering iron. You can bend the tabs/ears on the bulb carrier, but it is only a temporary fix.
