I love the new 5 series....Was contemplating it over my x5 but I need a snow car. Now... I love the x5..however it needs more aggresive styling and LED rings in the front. The corona's aren't bad, but not great.

Minor details. However please I hope it does not look like the x3 lol.

I don't know about you, but I think the 2011 X3 looks A LOT better than the current X3, which I think looks horrendous. I think all the X3's in the past have been fugly! They've all been a poor man's X5.

Fugugly or not be careful if you come up to an FX50 at a light and want to play games. Unless you are in an X5M the "fugugly" will blow your doors off. Not of course that anyone would consider doing anything so juvenile or illegal!

No need for the M, that's reserved for the Porsche Turbo, a 50i will spank its ass.

You can't be serious. Are you telling me that you would rather have a Jeep Patriot, Jeep Compass, PT Cruiser, Chevy HHR, Dodge Nitro, Jeep Liberty, Nissan Pathfinder, or Ford Flex over the Infiniti FX?

I'm not crazy about the new styling, but it's okay looking....at least to me. The above SUV/crossovers that I listed above are much fuglier!

That's why the X5 comes under the classification of SAV - anyway, good looking is in the eye of the beholder.

As with most SAV / SUV drivers, they have gotten to be at a point after experiencing lesser vehicles, so it becomes a matter of aquired taste to which you obviously have not aquired that taste, and probably therefore do not own an X5.......

428, "spank its ass". Hard to see how when the fugugly FX50 has 50 more hp and weighs 900 less pounds than the X5 4.8. But I suppose anything is possible, would be interesting to see however. Still think it would take an X5M to beat it.

A X5 50i would be more than sufficient... Not sure why your bringing the 4.8i up, since the new X5 50i has a 4.4 Twin Turbo powerplant.. I believe 0428 is right when he says the 50i "will spank its ass"

FX50 hp= 390 w. 370lbs Tq
X5 50i hp= 400 w. 450lbs Tq
X5m hp = 550ish w. 500lbs Tq

OMG, so glad to hear I'm not the only one who absolutely hates the FX

I'd have to say the Acura ZDX. I haven't been a fan of any of Acura's recent cars, but the ZDX takes the cake.
