Pay It Forward

Hello All, I have asked that the moderators create a sticky called "Pay It Forward."

This will be a thread that we can post items that we may not need that others do. This would be a "No Strings" attached other than goodwill and karma.

Please let KrisL and Tim330 know that you support this idea via Pm or post and we can get things started. I tip my hat to Cubed as he is really the one I got the idea from. after giving away a set of wheels to a lucky recipient.

--cant take full credit Evl, but thank you. I learned it over on the old audiworld board when I was driving an allroad. There was a member named paulroad who did it a lot. Always thought it was cool...

Well this is probably a meager addition to this sticky, but...

Having just replaced my blown tire with a pair of replacements via Evlengr, I had one good tire left. I decided to keep it as a "spare". I don't have it mounted, just sitting around in case I ever need it. Scorpion 235-55-17 with 6/32 tread.

I know it's best to replace tires in pairs, if not the full set. But I've got this extra tire now, so if anyone needs it before I do (and I hope I never need it!) you're welcome to it.

Well it's that time again. I have a really nice 12 inch Kenwood subwoofer in a sealed box that fits nicely in the back area of the X3.

All yours if you pay for shipping (handling is free ) or in the DC-BALT area will meet you in a public location.

At the very least its a free sub box.

I have moved to a 10 inch Boston Acoustics.

unreal. someone willing to donate their sub to another x3 owner! i'd love it but thinking i'll need the space over the bass. just saying this group is awesome...

Stay tuned I have more stuff coming. During winter months I plan all my new audio and tech projects and like to give away all my old gear to new people willing to take the next step in audio fun.

what an awesome idea.. Evlengr, I would take up your extremely generous offer in a heartbeat.... but.. I think the freight to Oz would be more than its worth ..... a query though, did u hook it to a bimmer supplied system or an after market? cheers

Connected to an Alpine amp. No nothing stereo wise in my X3 is oem. Although the installation was specifically designed (no cutting or splicing) to be able install the original equipment.

BTW, the sub and its box are still up for grabs. I have had two pms, but one couldn't use it after all and the other I have not heard back from.

I am guessing shipping will be around $35 ups as this is what it cost to get my new one I ordered.

I don't mind packing it up and dropping it off at a UPS store. I am frequently there for other items.

More toys up for grabs. These are Infiniti 42.7i Kappa series. 4 inch speakers for the doors. Two complete sets to be given away as two complete sets. They are a matched set for front and back.

They fit perfectly, no problems and will work with a stock system and better with a professionally amplified one.

They are in good condition. I just wanted to try another type of speaker.

I have the original box and packing and will take them to a UPS store nearby if you want to make arrangements to prepay the shipping. The rest is free.

I will even walk you through installing them with pics.

Call me crazy, but I like people to have good sound.

Are the 4 Kappa's still "up for grabs" if so I would be quite willing to do something to off-set your costs to move them along.

Sorry Clif Szee got them...see above. However, I do still have a 12 inch sub in a nice box for grabs.

Please bear in mind a sub of this size cannot be driven by stock system.

The radio(cd part) in my 2004 X3 died. Bought a Scosche install kit on e-Bay with plugs. Now I need to figure put where the wires go? Any ideas on a good 'free' book- or look?

Thank you. However -the other piece of my post was a question concerning if this was still active --I guess it is but just no activity.

I have a set of four 17" wheels and tires. Tires are worn out Scorpions and do hold air but have little value otherwise. Wheels are straight however have been curbed several times (I'm the 3rd owner so I take no credit for this) and have their share of brake dust. If anyone wants to pick them up, free for the taking. Could be ideal for the winter wheel set. Located in sunny Henderson NV.

Keep the great offerings coming! We should open this thread to "general" stuff too, (like not only car-related) but stuff like one can have collecting dust at their home and other might need it...you know kinda like "one man's trash is other man's treasure"...just a thought...
