Front wheel bearing success

I did my front wheel bearings today. Nice easy job. I followed the e38.org instructions which helped sice this was my first time doing this job. Having everything apart gave me a chance to clean everything up. I used parts cleaner a rag and a little scotch brite to make everything look fresh. After cleaning everything up, I power washed the front suspension parts and wheel houses. I let it all dry, then sparayed high temp clear coat on the calipers and rotor hats.

I bought the F.A.G. bearings from OEM Bimmer Parts on line. They were $258. shipped. I had a humming sound coming from the bearings and it was especially noticeable when coming to a stop. The old bearings came off very easily and even the races came off with the hubs.

No more humming sound and all is well!
