My 535i xDrive is on its way to Bremerhaven

Production completed Sept. 14. Anyone else on a similar timeframe know what vessel this might ship on? I'm expecting to take delivery in Chicago so I believe this will be a W&W transport. Any info on what east coast port or VPC would be used for a Chicago dealership?

My car was completed yesterday and is awaiting shipment to Bremerhaven. I expect it will board the Fidelio which is scheduled to depart on 22 Sept and arrive in New York on 6 October.

I'm ahead of you guys... My 535xi is on its way... I entered the VIN at Wallenius Wilhelmsen and it is on the MANON departed Bremerhaven 9/15, ETA at New York 9/28.

Mine, too! I looked again this afternoon and noticed that it left the UK and is next heading for Halifax. Can't wait -- though in the interim I've been pining a bit for the X6....

My car was also completed over the past 2 days. We should be on the same ship!

I'm also hoping my 535Xi will be on that same Sep. 22 departure!

My 535 M-Sport was completed production as of 09/08. Current status is 182. Should be getting on a boat this week.... Uggghhhh, the waiting....

Same here. Just got word today that mine will be complete on Sept. 20th. Hope the ship waits :-)

Have any of the buyers of the completed F10 x-drive cars ready for transport been able to verify if the cars have the electric power steering? My dealer doesn't know, but realizes that the park assist feature quietly went missing from BMWUSA.com; also, a manual for the X-drive in PDF is not available. I couldn't find another thread on this.

My 535x is also on the water. Departed Bremerhaven via the ship Thamesis on 9-15. Carrier is Wallenius Wilhelmsen. Ir ia scheduled to arrive in Baltimore on 9-29 and Savannah on 10-2. Don't know my port yet.

Finally my dealer confirmed hydraulic power assist on x-drive cars. That will make some people very happy. I don't have

Your port is shown on the Design/MSRP section of your dealer's BMW ordering site -- ask him or her to scan it and send it to you.

Opps! Clumsy fingers. . . Don't have an opinion yet on the steering because of short test drive with the EPS.

$599 Doc fee
No security deposit, as I am an existing BMWFS customer
Benefit of any reduced MF rates or other incentives that may be avail at time of delivery.

Key factor for me was they have a production slot I wanted and it was easy to work with them. That goes a long way for me.

I have never owned a BMW ...so my brother and I decided to go out and order two(2)! We both purchased a 2011 535XI

My production date is scheduled to complete on 9/22 .......

Options Ordered:

2. Premium 2
3. Dynamic Handling
4. Sport Package

Is this really neccessary ...having second thoughts....

Poor pricing choices here with only two dealers within hundreds of miles. Flat $2,000 under MSRP on a purchase, but no worse than I expected. I could have searched all over for a better deal and probably saved $ but really wanted a strong dealer/original owner relationship like I've had in the past.

The BMW USA Owners web page and the BMW USA phone number indicate my Week 36 Production 535ix was in port awaiting a ship. However the Wallenius Wilhhelmsen shipping company Track & Trace says my vehicle is aboard the ship, Sunlight Ace, which left Bremerhaven on 17 September and is due in NY on 1 October.

Has anyone gotten any confirmed tracking data of 9/21 or 9/22 WWL ships out of Bremerhaven? I'm hoping my car is on one of those, but tracking just returns "No record". BMW online says "awaiting transport", 800 number says "in production - estimated complete 9/14".

The WWL site is very good at tracking, however, they are sometimes 1 day behind. My car was scheduled to leave port back on 8/25, but I didn't see the update that it was loaded onboard the ship until 8/26. Then the first day I saw it, it showed "Received at Terminal". I was waiting for the actual "Loaded on Vessel" and that took another day before that status showed up. I was afraid it was left behind, but no, everything worked perfectly. Then you just have to hope they discharge the car (their term) at the right port, LOL. Oh, my 535i arrived in Baltimore on 9/7 and it arrived at my dealer 1 week later.

Yes, that is exactly how I am attempting to get details. Search returns "No records found". Perhaps, per post above yours, tomorrow will provide more info!

As I indicated in a previous post my car which finished production on 15 Sept was on the ship Sunlight Ace, which left Bremerhaven on 17 Sept and is due in NYC on 1 October. I got this information via the Wallenius Wilhelmsen web site although the ship appears to be not one of theirs. My dealer confirmed the ship and scheduled port arrival in New York. The BMW Owners'web page did not indicate that the vehicle was enroute until yesterday, 21 Sept, 4 days after the ship left Bremerhaven. It is interesting to note that the ship is scheduled to stop first in Brunswick, Georgia on 28 Sept before going to New York.
