E46 2003 Roof Problems

Hi guys

I am new to this forum please can someone help I have a e46 m3 the roof opens perfectly fine but when I try to close it the problem I have is the lid thing opens but the roof doesn't raise but if u give it a helping hand and lift it about a foot it closes the rest on it's own it doesn't have the push to close.
