HELP PLEASE Reset Z3 oil service light

Just done a oil change

so need some advice on how to reset oil light inspection on dash

I'm a bit confused, and therefore have to start by apologizing.
What to you connect? A wire? What's a jumper tool? Is this like my jumper cable?
This is a really good trick and I would really like to know how it's done.

A jumper is any conductor used to connect two points. To reset the indicator the two points are terminal 7 in the data port and the grounding nut on the adjacent passenger strut tower about a foot away. The simplest jumper for this is a stiff wire, ideally 2 feet of 12 gauge house wire with the insulation stripped back 1/2 inch on each end.

The tool means you don't have to use the wire for the right two lengths of time. Like, if you want to rest just the oil, and use the wire too long, you will reset the whole service interval. The tool has a button for each (and evidently a time chip).
