Chrome Tailpipe/Exhaust

Yes, I've searched extensively. This issue has been discussed but no conclusive answer (of which I am aware) has been given.

I have a 2.8i which I will take delivery of on Wednesday. I've read in a couple of places that others who have taken delivery of their 2.8i have purchased the chrome tailpipes. What is the part number? My dealer claims there is none (but I suspect it is the same one that comes standard on the 3.5i).

Does ANYONE know???

I've seen a 35 next to a 28 at my local dealership. Neither one had chrome.

There is a BMW official accessory but I haven't been able to find the part number yet.

The xDrive35i comes with the chrome tips as standard, all other models do not.

It would seem to me as though the part for the 3.5i would be exactly what we need. The exhaust is no different from what I saw (I got underneath a 3.5i and a 2.8i to compare). The part is just two little chrome sleeves that fit over the two exhaust ports.

If the 35 really does come with chrome, you can have mine after I take delivery next month. I hate chrome.
