Help, BMW X5 Inquiry
My wife and I were heading to dinner last night when the ABS, Brake and DSC Warning light came on...vehicle drove ok. When leaving dinner, the lights were not on again, but on the way home from dinner, it came on again and I did not make it home...the engine would not stay running and I had to push it home.
Today it will start but will not stay running and the warning lights are not coming on. Anybody help? |

You may have made a mistake and posted in the E39 (5 series) forum. Might have better luck with this link.

Hi
I had almost the excact problem. Car might be ok when cold but as it warms up ABS,DSC etc lights come on without fail. Are you experiencing loss of function on your speedo when it happens? Do you have problems with the speed adjustment of your radio volume? Does the car stop changing gears and hold in one? These are some of the problems I was experiencing with my X5, and not always at the same time. On my car it was the ABS unit that was faulty, luckily it is relatively inexpensive to repair. Therea are a few guys on the net that can do it, a quick search should reveal them. Cheers Craig |
