1984 533i cost of repairs

I'd like to solicit some advice as to how much I should expect to spend on repairs for leaking valve cover gaskets, leaking timing chain cover, and a leaking front crank seal? Thanks in advance! The total cost of the car is $1800.

I couldn't tell you what's fair but you could DIY it very cheaply. Gaskets and seals are inexpensive. Get a Bentley's manual to guide you and get ready to spend a weekend wrenching. While you're in there you may also want to replace the water pump, hoses, belts, etc. These cars are not hard to work on, but it helps to have some expert guidance.
