Plastic on Exterior (on Black x3)

Does the plastic on the exterior bother anyone? I wish I could get it painted without getting the M Kit (which makes the car look a little fat) and prefer xline rather than shadowline

Any good body shop can paint it..with the proper prep and primer...but I stress a GOOD body shop that paints with BMW factory approved paint. Those body shops are registered with BMW, and customer relations could tell you.

A good body shop is a must.....plastic takes paint differently to metal and the colour on plastic changes over time. Take a look at silver Audis in particular, you will see the bumpers are often a different shade to the body. BMW's suffer too but to far lesser degree. Possibly this is down to the more eco paints they use nowadays.

Hmm, funny one of the things I like on many newer vehicles is the plastic black along the bottom trim. Helps to hide all the nicks that are caused by gravel and little rocks.

Thanks.
