For Sale - 2003 E39 M5, 111K, $18,500 - New Clutch and Flywheel
Hi All,
Up for sale is my 2003, E39, M5 in Titanium Silver Metallic with black ‘extended leather’ interior. Reason for the sale is that I work in sales and need to get a car that is a little more ‘customer’ friendly… too many comments about how ‘sales must be good’. Additionally I need a car that can fit (4) full size adults comfortably for long trips. This car is an amazing ride… you truly get the feel for the road BMW M5 experience and the car is responsive to say the least. Any work required has been performed and the car had a new LUK ( OEM Equipment ) clutch, flywheel, and all associated components installed at 92k. BMW enthusiasts know that this model is the one to own… Asking price is $18,500 and consistent with KBB value. My location is Anderson, SC right between Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC. I am the 3rd owner and have kept detailed records of all service and repairs as you will see below. The 1st owner had all service done at the original dealer and I have those records available. The 2nd owner only had the car for about 5,000 miles but had service performed by BMW of Arlington. Everything works well on this car… The major and minor repairs that needed to be done have been performed by Bimmer Specialist of Greenville, SC. There are no body dents and the paint looks great however there are small marks on the bumper/hood consistent with wear for a car with 111k miles. Car Details ( 2003 M5 ): VIN: WBSDE93473CF93022 Chassis Number: CF93022 Interior Trim Code: Black Extended Leather Exterior Color Code: Titanium Silver Metallic MSRP: $73,670.00 Vehicle Production Date: 2003/02 Mileage: Approximately 111,000k ( It is my daily driver ) Asking Price: $18,500 No Warranty: conditions of sale are “as-is.” History: Clear Title, 3-owner Transmission: 6-speed manual Engine Write-Up: The E39 M5 had a highly tuned V8 engine based on the M62 engine called the S62, which displaced 4.9 litres and produced 294 kW (400 PS; 394 bhp). The engine featured a 7,000 rpm redline, Double-VANOS, which varies the intake and exhaust valves timings for both cylinder banks, and individual throttle butterflies for each of the cylinders, allowing for a much faster engine response time. M features: M-sport steering wheel, BMW sport-style seats, M-sport mode and traction-control buttons, M5 Wheels, and M5 Valve Stem Caps. Everything works: There are no SES/check-engine codes. I have done about $5,200 in service on this vehicle. If something was wrong, I had it fixed. The clutch and flywheel were replaced about 92,000 miles. The spark plugs and main fluids ( transmission, differential, power steering ) have just been replaced. The CarFax does show accidents back in 2003 (2,493 miles) and 2006 (22,050 miles) when the car was with the first owner. According to the owner then and mechanic I had inspect the car, these were minor and fixed properly. The car suffers no effects from the accidents. Economy for this M5: The car gets about 21.5 MPG overall. I have one been tracking a trip calculator for the past 10,000 miles and average 21.5 MPG. Bottom line: This BWM is driven for work by a married professional adult and has not been tracked. I work in sales and the vast majority of the miles that I put on this car are highway. Typically I get in the car and drive for 2-3 hours, “have a meeting” (golf), and drive home. Additional pictures of wheels, interior, exterior are available on request. This car has been very well cared for and maintained properly. Detailed features on this M5: - This is a non-smoker car - Extended leather option / leather dash - M-sport steering wheel - Sunroof / Moonroof - Xenon headlamps w/ fog lamps - BMW "DSP" Premium audio system including FM/Tape/6-CD changer and DSP equalizer and reverb modes. - Mark III navigation system with GPS and turn-by-turn direction display - Phone ready with Bluetooth ( the Bluetooth is 2003 technology and isn’t clear but it does work ) - Heated front seats - 3-person memory position for driver seat, mirrors and steering wheel - Tilt/telescoping wheel - Universal garage opener - Dual-zone climate control with A/C for rear passengers - Rain-sensing automatic wipers - Electric folding mirrors - Ski pass-through / subwoofer port behind backseat arm-rest. - M-mobility tire "repair kit" - M5 key chain, (1) key - Includes M-sport rims for the BMW M5. - Professional Installation ( Best Buy Electronics ) of FM Modulator and iPod Jack. - Professional Installation ( Tint Plus ) of ADC35 Window Tint. You really need to list this on M5Board. It will get 2000 eyeballs a day as opposed to 7 here.
