E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135. |

I accidentally made a deep long scratch down the side of my 2010 128i that is about a foot long, and hit the primer. I dont know why the 1 series scratch so easily! Someone told me that i need to replace the whole door in order to fix the problem, but doors are really expensive. does anyone have any suggestions? it would be much appreciated
oh and the scratches are on the the door and a little under it as well ![]() ![]()

Drcolorchip.com. The colorchip people were at a car show I attented and they were fixing chips for free on people's cars. Look at their website...I believe it can also be used for scratches.

It appears you have a 2010....get it to a competent body shop, get it done right, and you will happy as a clam. Yes it will cost more but its not structural, and poorly done cosmetic damage always taunts you with a repair that is...well, poorly done. It always shows up..and you feel you have to explain it all. Its simply too nice a car to allow it. .04cents worth anyway...good luck with whatever you decide.
