DISA Valve Pricing - Group Buy - ORDERING INFO
SEE FINAL PARAGRAPH IN THIS POST FOR ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS
In this thread, http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=570859 there was mention of interest in a group buy for the DISA Valve. I contacted my parts guy at Bill Dodge BMW, Westbrook ME and he quoted the following price for the M54 DISA valve when an order for 20 or more is placed. 11 61 754 4805 Adjuster Unit or DISA valve $224.42 list 30% off $157.09 Not a bad price. Can any one else's parts source beat this? I have a question back to them asking if this requires 20 DISAs shipped to one location or can we order 20 DISAs and have them shipped to seperate locations. More to follow. It looks like seperate orders with individual shipping is fine. No limit on the orders. Their normal car club discount is 20%-25% off. So it looks like they are sweetening the deal a bit for us. This is the best price we have found to date. Here's the deal: 1. We need a minimum of twenty orders to qualify for the 30% discount. 2. The discount applies to any DISA valve (M54, M52, 2.5l, 3.0l, etc.) ordered. The same part No. is not required. 3. Use RealOEM.com to identify your part number. It's under Engine, Intake Manifold, Intake Manifold System. Typically part #7. 4. Once we have 20 commitments, I'll publish their email and have them get into receive mode. 5. Orders must be placed by each purchaser directly with Bill Dodge BMW. They accept cc. 6. Previously, I had to set up a no-cost account with them to qualify for discounts. Not sure if that still applies. This is just another admin step. 7. Tax is applied to ME residents only. 8. Shipping will be applied to each order individually. Expect $7 - $15, depending on distance and business (lower cost) or residential (higher cost) Any questions? OK EVERYONE. HERE IS THE PROCEDURE FOR ODERING THE DISA VALVE (OR ANYTHING ELSE YOU NEED): Looks like we have about 15 interested buyers. They have agreed to give us the 30% discount! The seller is Bill Dodge Auto Group-BMW, Westbrook, ME. The POC is Ron Vose, BMW Parts Dept. His email is rvose@billdodgeautogroup.com Please tell him you are part of the BIMMERFEST GROUP BUY. Their phone number is 207-854-3200. They will set you up with a no cost wholesale parts account which will qualify you for discounts on any parts going forward. Note: They are a great discount (20%-25%) source when you absolutely have to have OEM parts (e.g FSU, CCV, gaskets, etc.). The part number is 11 61 754 4805 for the M54 3.0l It's 11 61 754 4806 for the M54 2.5 l The 2.8 M52 is different. Please verify with RealOEM for the correct part number for your build date before ordering. It's under 11-Engine, 40-Intake Manifold, Intake Manifold System. The discount is 30% and the price is $157.09 for the M54 3.0 DISA valve (retail price is $224.42). Shipping via UPS Ground to a residential vs. business address is a little bit more. The shipping should max out at about $15 to a West Coast residential address. No tax unless you live in Maine. That's it! Happy shopping, everyone! Last edited by Fudman; 10-14-2011 at 05:49 PM. |

I checked RealOEM and if you have an M54 3.0L engine, the part is the same for an e46.
Note: The M54 2.5l variant (e39, e46, etc.) uses part 4806, not 4805. I will ask Bill Dodge if they will offer the discount on any DISA, as long as we hit the 20 number. Last edited by Fudman; 09-27-2011 at 02:25 PM. |

Hi Fudman,
I'll PM you. I was talking to Max on the phone about this, when something came up ... but will defer to you if you wish to organize it. Let's connect in the PM system. Last edited by bluebee; 09-27-2011 at 06:23 PM. |

I think you need 11 61 144 0049. It's about the same list price. I have the question into them about getting the discount if we different versions of the DISA.

I am on board and ready to order when you give the go ahead. Fudman. You may consider adding a "Poll" (or some type of counter) to this thread but ues it as a runny tally. Whomever selects "yes" in the poll leaves a reply that they are in and ready to order. ALSO, can we get people from other BMW forums involved in case finding 20 in this forum is not attainable? I recently joined the BMW CCA. I can give my local chapter a call to see if there is an interest there. I'll follow your lead on this Fudman and won't make a move until further advised. Just a thought. edit: I have a 2002 530i (packages shouldn't matter) 93k miles Last edited by seemyad; 09-29-2011 at 10:43 AM. |
