2000 bmw 528i central locking, window, windshield wiper and no air blowing.

Please help,
This is a 2000 BMW 528I.
1-Winshield wiper does not work
2-No heat-no air coming out
3-No A/C-no air coming out
4-Central locking system does not work-Cannot even lock my door
5-Windshield wiper does not work
6-CLUSTER light goes in and out
7-Except front passenger side, all other power window does not work
8-Power seat-only front passenger side work.
9-ABS, BRAKE AND BRAKE WARNING LIGHT SYMBOL is on.
10-Trunk switch does not open trunk anymore.

All of these started when I towed the car to a shop to replace spindle
and control arms.

Reading all the postings on bimmerfest, thought it would be fuse problem.
However, I cannot figure out which fuse controls what.
Please help.

Was at the dealer yesterday. They gave me bad news.
"The wire harness rusted out under passenger seat"
It is causing high resistance. They checked for power at the wiper motor
and backtracked through tha circuit. Found the source of the resistance all "owing
only 4V to get to the wiper motor" It need 12 V, they tell me.
They claim that most of the problem am having is connected to the wire harness rustiness.
9000 dollars to change. Sad.
When I bought the car there was water in the passenger area. This supposedly is the cause.
They actually told me the car will eventually refuse to start one day.
I wonder if anyone has a cheaper idea of fixing this.

9000? WOW that's alot!...I had water back there too....does only the wiring harnness has to be changed?

According to them, thats the root cause of all my other problems, but not necessarilly the only problem.
After hearing about 9000 dollars, I tuned them out.

I find that hard to believe that cost so much, let me know if you hear any cheaper ways to fix it

Just found your post, so you probably are not even going to get this.....

Dude, this to me seems like a no brainer. Go to the junk yard (any of them within 200 or 300 miles its worth it, and pull the wiring harness out of the same car. To be sure, you will need to check the VIN to make sure that the build date to the junk car and your car are similar enough for you to do this. It will still cost a bit, but be cheaper than the stealer. Pull the pass. seat out and start matching up stuff ONE BY ONE. Do NOT pull everything out and go at it. Now, this may not work because you might get 'open loop' issues. But, at least you will get the part cheaper. I don't know what the stealer would charge to install, but at least you got the part and took a shot. They also may not do the work because you are not using a brand new one. Maybe you can hit an independant shop that speacializes in BMWs????? Good luck
