E82 1M Coupe (2011 - 2012)
In many ways the spiritual successor to the E30 M3. Powered by a M derivitive of the N54 the inline six makes 340hp and giving the 1M a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds.

Plans for winter

Winter is here - NJ is getting 4" of snow today.
So will you drive your 1M in winter?

I will be and have winter tires installed today.

I'm getting winters in two weeks. I'd cry not to drive it in two weeks.

Cars are meant to be driven not looked at...

I went with my old E46-fitment 18" BBS REs and Michelin PA2 tires; 235s in front and 255s in the back. Needed to get some spacers to offset the offset difference, if you know what I mean.

The tires feel less squishy than I thought they would. Really not too bad. Of course, the already available power-oversteer-on-demand is even a little more available now, with a 10mm narrower contact patch on each shoe. But at least these tires will actually produce something resembling grip when it's colder than 40F outside.

I have Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D, 235/40 mounted on M Star Spoke 270 18" rims.
Read wheels looks a little weird as they narrower than original.
