Alpine White Always Looks Great...

Alpine White always looks great on any new BMW. I think it looks especially good on a X3!

I love the interior color! I didn't know they still offered red (terra cotta) in the X3. I may have to rethink my position (again) on getting another one.

Not a great color where I'm from, too easy to get lost in a snow storm. Statistically white vehicles have the highest accident rates.

I like the looks of my X35i in Alpine White with Mojave leather, though I don't think you can go wrong with any interior color. Having said that, I don't know about black leather in the southern states, or desert areas of other locales.

i have the same combination, along with the dark wood. my 26yo son described the interior as elegant but understated. i usually get a laugh when, after mentioning that, i add "just like me!" [i'm neither.]

Wow, I love both the terra cotta and mojave leather options! They especially look great with the alpine white!! We chose the oyster leather for the mostly 'black' interior but with the light colored seats... I just hope we can keep them clean with a baby on the way!! Yeah right!!!

Side note regarding dark colors and the southern states. I'm pretty far South in Florida, and you would be AMAZED at how many people down here own black on black cars... Its ridiculous!!! In fact, ALL the dealers we looked at before buying said that black/black is still THE most popular option, even down in South Florida. My other car is dark grey/black leather and I can't wait to sell it for something lighter... But, I owned it before I lived in FL...

The first summer I had my car in FL, the rearview mirror actually fell off the windshield because the glue got so hot....

If you mean accident prone in snow, then I guess it makes sense. The only data I could find show that accident rates are higher for cars of dark colors. e.g., this study shows that in daylight hours accidents are 12% more likely in black cars than white cars, and at dawn and dusk the accident rate is 47% more likely in black cars. Similar effects, though to a reduced extent, were seen for cars in other dark colors. Some light colors were statistically as safe as white, but none was safer. But these data are in conditions where roads are in high contrast to a white car. In snow conditions, the advantage presumably would go with dark cars.

Or maybe people who choose black cars just drive more aggressively.

statistically there are more white vehicles than any other color, at least in the u.s.. are you sure you're quoting RATES or are you quoting TOTAL NUMBERS? and do you just mean within alberta?

Same here. Live in central fl and plenty of dark colors, but we chose white and happy with choice ...btw, x3kdd, your lights are yellow. Mine are white/blue???was that per order or do the ad's vary...noob question, but curious ....thanks

Plancktimebmw- The only photo I see is of x3kdd's corona rings... Perhaps they did not get the Xenon lights and you did? I thought all the Corona rings were the same, but I could be wrong. It could also just be the photo...
